Post #16: Tomato Beef Soup


In winter, it is a good time to eat soup. Not only because it can warm your body, but also very well for your health. And the most important thing is that the soup would not make too much cooking fume when you make it.  If you are afraid of cooking with fire, this soup is a better choice for you.

The materials you need to prepare:

Beef

Tomatoes (two)

Gingers

Garlics

Salt

Pepper

Chinese prickly ash

 

First, cut all the beef into small pieces, and then wash them. Clean all the gingers and garlics. Cut them into small pieces as well.

Second, heat the oil in the pot, then put some Chinese prickly ash in the pot. After this, you need to put all the beef in the pot to cook them together until half cooked.

Third, pour some water in another pot and wait to boil it.

Fourth, put the beef in the boiling water, use high heat to boil about 5minutes.

Fifth, cut the tomatoes into pieces, and then put them in the pot.

Sixth, add gingers, garlics all together into the pot and use small fire to stew 2 hours.

Finally, add some salt.



 

Post #15: Braised eggplant

This dish is a little bit oil, because the eggplant would absorb a lot oil when you are cooking. It still tastes very good. Some people really like this dish. If you do not mind too much oil, you really need to try this dish.

The materials you need to prepare:

Eggplant (one)

Tomato (one)

Pork

Green pepper (one)

Soy sauce

Sugar

Salt

Oil

Vinegar        

Starch


First, wash all the vegetables you need. Cut the eggplant, green pepper and tomato into pieces.

Second, heat the oil in the pot.  Make sure the oil is enough and can cover every piece of eggplant. Then fry the eggplant to golden color.

Third, make the sauce, pour some soy sauce and a little bit vinegar in a bowl, you can also add some sugar if like it tastes sweet. One spoon of sugar is enough. And then add the starch and some water in the bowl. Stir them to make sure they are mixed.

Fourth, put the pork into the pot and cook. Then put tomato in it to cook them together. Finally, pour the sauce in it. After cooking for a couple of minutes, it is done!


Tips:

When you fry the eggplant, you need to use the small fire.

Post #14: Sour and Spicy Shredded Potato


This is a very famous dish in Sichuan Cuisine. This dish is also very common of home cooking in China. Since it is sour and spicy, a lot of children like this dish.
The materials you need to prepare:
Potatoes (two)
Green peppers (one)
Dry red peppers (two)
Green onions
Vinegar
Salt
Oil
First, wash the potatoes and peel them. Then cut the potatoes into potato chips, and cut green and dry red peppers into pieces.
Second, wash all the potato chips into the cool water for several times. Then, put them in a big bowl. Finally use the vinegar to dip the potato chips, do not use all the vinegar to dip them, add some water in the bowl. This step can make the potatoes more sour and tasty. Wait for about 15 to 20 minutes, pour out the water.
Third, heat the oil in the pot, put the green peppers and dry red peppers into it to cook.
Fourth, put all the potato chips into the pot to cook them together. Cook about 5 minutes and then add some vinegar and salt. Continue to cook 3 minutes to make sure the vinegar are absorbed by the potatoes.
Finally, you can add some chili sauce.


Post #13: Fried Rice with Eggs




This kind of fried rice is very easy to make when you are hungry.  It would not cost you too much time and it tastes good!

The most important thing to make this fried rice taste good is to use fresh and soft rice.


The materials you need to prepare:

Rice (cooked)

Eggs (three)

Ham luncheon meat

Green beans

Corns

Carrots

Salt         

Cooking wine

 
First, beat the eggs and add some salt, cooking wine into the egg. Then cut ham luncheon meat and carrots into small pieces.

Second, heat the oil in the pot, put the rice into it and then cook. Use the low heat to cook, and add some salt into it.

Third, put corns, green beans, and carrots into the pot to cook them together.

Finally, pour all the eggs into the pot. When the eggs are well cooked, the fried rice should be done!

 
Tips:

Do not add too much oil when you cook the rice.

You can add some other vegetables or shrimps as you like!



Post #12: Fried Shrimps in Hot Spicy Sauce

This dish is popular among the people who likes spicy food.
The materials you need to prepare:
Shrimps
Potatoes
Dry red peppers
Gingers
Green onions
Garlics
Soy sauce
Cooking wine
Sugar
Oil
First, you need to wash all the materials that you need. Peel the potatoes, cut the dry red peppers, gingers, green onions and garlics into pieces.
Second, use the salt to pickle the shrimps for a while.
Third, heat the oil into the pot, make sure that the oil is enough to cover all the shrimps. Then put the shrimps into the pot. Fry all the shrimps to golden color and take them out.
Fourth, fry potato chips to golden color and take them out.
Fifth, use the rest of the oil to cook gingers, green onions, dry red peppers, and garlics.

Post #11: Crucian carp soup


In China, people always think that eat fish can make kids smart. Therefore, the parents often encourage their children to eat fish. In winter, it is a good idea to eat fish soup in cold seasons. My mom usually cook the crucian carp soup for us when the weather is getting cooler. It is not only tasty but also good for our health.
The materials you need to prepare:
Crucian carp
Gingers
Green onions
Salt
First, you need to clean the crucian carp, take all the viscera out of the fish. Then use the kitchen paper towel to dry all the water on the fish body to make sure when you fry it, the fish skin can keep perfectly.
Second, heat the pot with the oil. When the oil is hot, use the small fire to fry the fish. At the same time, you need to boil the hot water in another pot. When the fish is well cooked, put the fish into the boiling water.
Third, wash the green onions and gingers. Cut them into small pieces and then put them into the hot pot. When the water is boiling, use small fire to cook one hour. Do not forget to add some salt. Then it is done!
